Privacy policy

The short version

Rocmile has no account and no servers that receive your data. Your drives, routes, places, contacts you link, receipts and settings are stored only on your iPhone.

What stays on your iPhone

Location is used to detect and record drives; motion data to tell driving from walking. Receipt scans are recognised on the device. None of this is sent to us.

What leaves your iPhone — only if you choose

• Backups and reports you save to a folder you pick (for example your own iCloud Drive).
• Files you share yourself (PDF, CSV, backup).
• Addresses and road matching use Apple Maps services, under Apple's privacy policy.

Mileage rates file

Once a day the app downloads the public file of official mileage rates from this website. The request contains no information about you, your drives or your country — everyone downloads the same file.

Analytics and ads

None. No tracking, no third-party SDKs, no advertising.

Your records

You are responsible for keeping your logbook. Tax authorities require records to be kept for years (CRA: six years). Export your logbook regularly and keep paper receipts. Rocmile is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice.

Children

Rocmile is not directed to children.
